Asake and Burna Boy are the only Nigerian artists who have achieved this incredible achievement on the UK charts.
In less than 24 hours after releasing his second studio album, ‘Work Of Art,’ YBNL singer Asake has joined Burna Boy as the first Nigerian artist in history to break this record on the UK charts.
Asake became the second Nigerian artist after Burna Boy to peak at number one on the UK Apple Music Top Albums Chart with a total number of two albums. It is an incredible feat for the YBNL singer who achieved this with his first and second studio albums, ‘Mr. Money With The Vibe’ and ‘Work Of Art.’
‘Work Of Art‘ has surpassed the expectations of many with its success on the chart, and it has also solidified Asake’s position in the industry as an artist that is consistent and always creative with his craft.
The 14-track album is indeed a work to be admired as contributions from the YBNL boss Olamide as well as other talented individuals alongside the singer, proved essential in creating a project that would be listened to for months and years.
The singer also charted over three songs on the Apple Music Top Songs (Daily) Chart for the UK with ‘Amapiano‘ at number 37, ‘Basquiat‘ at number 45, ‘2:30‘ at 77, ‘Olorun‘ at 83 and ‘Awodi‘ at 100.
