Talented Nigerian singer, songwriter, and performer, Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, is currently the talk of the town has he becomes the first African act to hit the number one spot on the Billboard Global chart.
The Mavin/Jonzing World star continues to break records with his talent after having a stellar 2022. He was also featured in the renowned movie “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” soundtracks from Marvel Studios.
In his most recent achievement, the superstar moved up from position eight to take the top spot on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. list with his universally acclaimed song “Calm Down,” which features American artist Selena Gomez.
This is an achievement no African artiste have achieved before, not even the biggest like Wizkid and Burna Boy.
According to Billboard, the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts rank songs based on streaming and sales activity culled from more than 200 territories around the world. The Global 200 chart is inclusive of worldwide data, and the Global Excl. U.S. chart comprises data from territories excluding the United States.
