Bella Shmurda tacitly confesses to switching from Yahoo Yahoo to music.
Nigerian singer, Bella Shmurda, has given a hint that he used to be involved in Yahoo Yahoo, also known as internet fraud. In a recent chat on the Tea With Taymesan podcast, Bella explained the lyrics of one of his songs, “Cash App” which is a narration of his life story.
According to Bella, he sang about how a friend named Lati gave him money which he used to buy a laptop. However, after six months of using the laptop to “do business,” Bella said he was struggling to cash out. He revealed that before he got the laptop, he used to collect $100 or $200 from clients, so it was painful that he could not make more money.
Despite the struggles, Bella didn’t give up. He used some of the money he made at the time to pay for studio sessions and sang his heart out. More complicatedly, he said his girlfriend, Omotena, informed him that she was pregnant when he was still squatting and struggling to survive.

Bella’s story is a reminder that success doesn’t come easy and it takes a lot of hard work and determination to make it. Despite the challenges he faced, he never gave up and used his talent as a musician to turn his life around.
