PSG: Sergio Ramos Finally Opens Up On Injury Struggles

Paris Saint-Germain defender, Sergio Ramos, has finally opened up on his injury struggles at the club.

Ramos has endured a difficult start to life at PSG, having yet to play for his new club because of a series of injuries since joining the French Ligue 1 giants in the summer.

The 35-year-old appears to be back on track, having been included in PSG’s match-day squad for the midweek UEFA Champions League 2-1 defeat to Manchester City but has now admitted that the road to recovery had been a difficult one.

The former Real Madrid captain also insisted that he could continue playing football for the next five years.

“In the end, they’re difficult moments, moments of loneliness – hours in the gym with the physiotherapist, with the fitness coach,” Ramos told Amazon Prime Video.

“You constantly have negative thoughts that sometimes make you doubt [yourself].”

Ramos added,

“I believed in myself and in hard work. I focus on giving the club back the trust it has placed in me. I hope to reach my best level.

“I think I can continue playing for [another] four or five years. The most important thing is that my head stays together.

“I hope I’ll not have any more physical problems.”

Ramos will now hope to make his debut for PSG on Sunday when they take on St-Etienne.
