5. Brown Skin Girl by Beyonce, Blue Ivy, and Wizkid

The song Brown Skin Girl is a track by American singer Beyonce from the 2019 Album ‘Lion King’:The Gift

The song, co-owned by Nigerian celebrity singer, Wizkid, Beyonce’s 9year old daughter, Blue Ivy, featuring Saint JHN [Guyanese Rapper], was released July 23, 2019.

The track broke the internet with the tag #BrownSkinGirl topping the trend list on all social platforms and winning the Soul Train’s music award for Ashford & Simpson Songwriter’s award

After the track’s success, Beyonce released ‘Brown Skin Girl music video on August 24, 2020.

Burna Boy was nominated during the 62nd annual Grammy awards 2019, but he lost to Angelique Kidjo.

After Twice As Tall was released, Burna Boy was nominated and won the 63rd Annual Grammy Award for Best Global Music Album of the Year.

The album hinged on representation for all Africans. At the end of the premiere, Burna Boy performed songs from the Twice as Tall album.

The Afro-pop song ”Blow My Mind” achieved a thrilling view of 10million in the first 3 weeks of its release.

Selling over 40,000 copies at Platinum in South Africa, it peaked on Billboard’s Top Triller Global Chart on August 9, 2019, at no 3.
