Olamide Has These Two Young Stars To Thank For His Biggest Hit Ever

“Infinity” is by a huge margin Olamide’s biggest song ever and who could have imagined that in 2020?

Before his “Carpe Diem” release, Olamide has had quite a number of hits and his biggest tracks on YouTube were “Motigbana” and “Wo,” released years prior.

But once he put out his “Carpe Diem” LP, it was only a matter of time before something changed and today his biggest song ever is a song that was on that same album.

Although the success of the single is due to his hard work, Olamide has two young stars to thank for the success of the track.

Number one is Omah Lay, who was featured on the track. He actually took the most important part of the song and carried it on his head like it was his own. Add that to some pure genius performance from Olamide and what do you get? A colossal hit, so to speak.

The other guy that made the track a success is obviously P Prime, the 19-year-old who created the minimalist instrumental that ended up becoming the beat for “Infinity.” There’s this perfection that’s on the track and you’d feel that if Prime had changed something, it might not have been the success it was.

The simple fact is, if it wasn’t for the work of P Prime and Omah Lay, Olamide wouldn’t have a video that is approaching 50 million views on YouTube right now.
