When female artistes sing heartbreak songs, it bangs differently.
The above statement struck my mind when I got in contact with Okal‘s new song “Thinking“. You’d recall Tems‘ song “Damages” too was an aggressive expression of heartbreaks.
Both songs are actually good songs that can move you would love to have on your playlist.

Fast-rising female Nigerian artiste, Okal made a big comeback with a very nice song titled “Thinking“. From the emotion she put into delivering the song, you can easily detect that “mama don chop her own breakfast” – dem don break her heart.
“Thinking” is a controversial song that Features a one-sided conversation of a lover analyzing a relationship that seems to be filled with lies and disguise.
Hopes & prayers do not seem to yield any good result, acceptance becomes the lovers’ only way to find peace.

Straight out of her “Broken Ears” EP, sensational Nigerian singer, Tems released the single titled “Damages“. This song actually registered her in the minds of many Nigerian music lovers.
“Damages” is a melody that discusses separating rather than remaining in a terrible love relationship that will cause harm.
Tems utilizes the melody to tell an admirer of hers that she was finished with him since she was not prepared to manage the harms of affection that he brings to her.
