Together, WizKid, Davido, Olamide and Burna Boy, make up a powerhouse that the Nigerian music industry cannot exist without.
Throughout this past decade, they’ve dropped a whole lot of content, from singles to videos, to EP’s, studio albums, mixtapes and so much more. Such that if you decide to delete, even one of them from history, there won’t be so much left.
Yeah, together they have a combined 23 projects and I don’t need to tell you, that’s a whole lot. But who’s got the best discography? Let’s see.
Burna Boy
Burna Boy has five notable studio albums including L.I.F.E, On a Spaceship, Outside, African Giant and his most recent release, Twice As Tall.
While his first two are albums we can do without, “Outside” is a certified classic and it has some of the biggest joints we know like “Ye.”
Of course his last two releases are Grammy certified, with one winning the Best Global Album category just this year. With this quality of music, Burna Boy is qualified to go toe-to-toe with even the best of the bests.
Davido
Davido, obviously, doesn’t have a lot of projects. His debut, OBO: The Genesis, has quite a number of iconic cuts, and he’s got a number of hits. He followed up with an EP, “Son of Mercy” which although didn’t do well, still has some of Davido‘s good songs, including his collaboration with Simi.
His last two are his best of course, with “A Good Time” being his magnum opus. “A Better Time” which he released five months ago was a commercial success.
With all these music, spread over ten years, it’s hard not to see how David’s discography is solid.
Olamide
Olamide has the most music of the four. With 10 solo projects in already, the superstar has a whole lot of hits, and has been consistent for a decade now.
His albums include; Rapsody, YBNL, Baddest Guy Ever Liveth, Street OT, Eyan Mayweather, The Glory, Lagos Nawa, 999 and the latest, Carpe Diem. In less than two months, he’ll be dropping another album called UY Scuti.
Wizkid
Wizkid’s discography is as solid as it gets honestly. He doesn’t have a bad project. Even his Sounds From The Other Side album, which had bad critical reviews upon reception has grown to become a classic.
His debut, “Superstar” remains one of the best albums of all time. Ayo has some of his biggest hits ever, like “Ojuelegba” while his last two releases, Soundman (EP) and Made in Lagos have some of the best music to ever hit the industry.
Anyway, now that we’ve seen what each one of these guys got, it’s time tell us what you think.
