LET’S TALK!!! Which Record Label Newbie Would Become The Hottest This Year?

Last year, new talents were snapped up by some major record labels. Majority were through social media, others were spotted and some had to go viral a little before they got signed.

However, it’s a new year coming with new expectations. There are demands from the teeming music populace as everyone wants to have a feel of the new sounds and also see what these new artistes have to offer the music industry.

Out of several that were signed, these are a few who a lot are expecting to become big this year.

1. Terri – Starboy

Terri was snapped up by the Wizkid led imprint last year after impressing the Starboy with one of his freestyle videos in 2017.

With a fire verse on Soco, which was arguably the best verse on the song, he followed it up with a beautiful masterpiece, BIA and then the sophomore, Shuu also receivers some airplays too.

There are lots of expectations from Terri in 2019 and people are looking to see if he will deliver. But will he?

2. Picazo – YBNL

A lot of people are looking to see if Picazo will live up to the demands of the industry and not actually end up like several rap artistes who flopped at the label.

He has the talent, no doubt but talent doesn’t make a complete artiste. There’s the hardwork and meeting the demands of the industry.

And as the rap game is gradually bouncing back, Picazo might just become one of the biggest names this year.

3. Demmie Vee – FlyBoi

Demmie Vee‘s name has been going round in the industry for a couple of years now but it was not until last year when Kizz Daniel signed me to FlyBoi and his debut single which also received a lot of heads up.

But Demmie Vee has to be consistent since he’s in the spotlight now to also level up as one of the emerging acts in the Pop genre. But will he fulfill his potential in 2019?

4. Lyta – YBNL

Lyta is one bright act to look out for in 2019 though. He has the talent, already killing it at a very young age but if he has to step up to the level of the A list artistes, he surely has to drop some fiery music materials and also hop on collaborations with other music artistes.

But does he have the guts to become one of the hottest new artistes in the land?
