Areezy, Barry Jhay, T Classic, Lyta, Terri, Zamora, & Victor AD – Who Are You Watching Out For This Year?

2018 was a revealing year for these guys and many others in the industry as they experience a little shift in attention to their talents and capability.

They had a breakthrough year as their respective official debut singles gave them a breakthrough in their musical careers.

Lyta

First was Lyta‘s official debut single which sees him feature junior boy at first and this got him signed to Olamide‘s YBNL record label.

This made Him do a refix of the single.

Barry Jhay

Barry Jhay was next in line as he backed up our 2018 with a sonorous, uplifting and soul reviving debut single titled “Aiye“.

This single almost shifted all attention on other upcoming acts to Barry Jhay alone. His sounds are just so sweet.

T Classic

T Classic on the other hand is one independent type and his creativity was such the enticed Mayorkun to force a feature with him to release what we all believe to be his debut single.

T classic has given us a lot of follow ups of the track “Fall In Love“.

Areezy

Areezy is one artiste that must be on this list as well. Following his earlier release “Philomena” And one other track.

His Track “Ori” was widely accepted by the mass and also was one of the most motivating tracks of 2018.

Terri

Terri is one who has no much songs to his name but his signing to Starboy record was a very revealing and controversial one. This came shortly after he free styled to a Wizkid‘s track. He followed it up with his official debut single titled “Bia” under the Starboy record label Imprint

Zamorra

Zamorra AKA Mr Important(er) came with a dance-able hit in the second half of 2018 and this track was widely accepted because it came with a new trend.

There is no doubt, Zamorra is a very created and talented artiste.

Victor AD

Victor AD seems to be the most matured and if not the eldest in the list. His song “Wetin We Gain” rose some critics after it’s release.

He was accused of increasing rituals and killing with his song which the street thinks is a ever-motivating song. He then cleared the air and proved his genuinity with a follow up track. We really should watch out for this dude.

It is safe to say that 2018 was a very remarkable year in the Nigerian music scene as it saw the emergence of new talent and the rise to global recognition of existing artistes like Burna Boy, Wizkid and Davido among others.
