Days after Sound City TV stated that Davido almost sold out the 02 Arena in London for his concert, UK media, The Guardian have also said the same thing about the concert.
A recent article where they reviewed the singer’s event, The Guardian wrote in part: “considering the anticipation attached to this gig, which has been talked up as a significant event for Davido he’s nearly sold out the O2, a considerable leap toward the mainstream”
From the above statement, it proves indeed that the singer didn’t actually sell out the whole 20,000 capacity as he had earlier claimed he did.
The DMW boss revealed on his Instagram that he did sold out the arena for his concert and reports began making rounds of how the singer joined the leagues of other A-list artistes who had sold out the Arena.
Recall that Davido was being compared to Wizkid after he sold out the O2 Arena.
But, Davido reacting to comparison on his Twitter page wrote: “You all can stop arguing now, it is not about who did it first or who did it alone without help.
We sha don do am Wetin you don do?”
Also in a viral video, Davido credited his inspiration to sell out the O2 Arena from his “brother” Wizkid.
