Which Of These Female Artistes Made Your 2018 Interesting?

2018 wasn’t about Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy alone, the female artistes brought their A game on to the scene.

Their male counterparts were shutting down some of the world biggest auditoriums, the female folks were not left out also as a couple of them were part of the shutdown game also.

Asides from that, majority of the hits we had this year were also influenced greatly by female artistes, a sharp contrast from what we had last year when a larger number of hit songs all came from male artistes.

So which of these female artistes had a great year?

1. Tiwa Savage

To be frank, what is working for Tiwa Savage is her amazing sex appeal and her “Fever” controversy with Wizkid.

Many refer her as the Queen of the industry, however this year, she proved that assertion right with her shutting down O2 indigo.

Plus, she had a couple of hits with Lova Lova being the biggest of them all.

2. Simi

After the success of her Simisola album which dropped late last year, Simi came with a few musical offerings this year and likewise Tiwa Savage, she had her own shutdown concert which held at London.

And who else forgot, Simi won a whooping three awards at the Headies and speculations has it lately that she just got engaged to rumored lover, Adekunle Gold.

3. Yemi Alade

Self-Acclaimed Mama Africa was in the news this year after she claimed she is at the same level as Wizkid & Davido in Nigeria.

She’s actually making Nigeria proud as she’s currently one of the greatest export of Nigerian Music to other part of Africa and the World at Large.

Over the years, Yemi Alade has featured many great African Acts and her performances keeps putting Nigeria on the Map of country with some of her colorful music videos.

4. Niniola

Surprised Niniola is on the list? Nah let’s not be. The “Maradona” crooner had a splendid 2017 and she’s already shutting down 2018 as well.

Slowly, her music has begun to penetrate the ends of the world as she has been getting invites to perform at South Africa and even North America.

Have we forgotten her nomination for the BET Viewers Choice Award. That’s a pointer to the fact that there’s World is listening to her.

Also, Grammy Nominated act, DJ Snake dropped a remake of Niniola’s hit, Maradona.

5. Teni

Gently, Teniola has begun to penetrate our hearts with feel good music. Songs that make you feel at home and cool off that stress.

Teniola won the Best New act at the Headies, her life has changed since then. Her drama on social media has been quite extraordinary.

She’s dropped two smash hits this year from Case to Askamaya and she’s not relenting, she’s still dropping more.
