Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, has claimed that the late legendary musician Fela Anikulapo-Kuti died because he didn’t mind his own business.
It’s worth remembering that Fela was a passionate activist who spoke out against bad governance, often putting his life and his family’s safety at risk.
Shading Fela in a recent podcast with media personality, Quincy Jonze on the ‘Echoo Room’, Portable insisted that Fela died early because he did not mind his business.
“According to what we were told, if Fela had minded his business a little he would have lived longer. But he was busy fighting for Nigerians wey no fight for their selves.
“I was in America looking for foreign artistes. I was busy displaying my madness online when Davido called me to come. Me and Davido did not quarrel until when the devil Zlatan came.” he said.
