ThankGod Omori Jesam, a prominent Nigerian music video director widely recognized as TG Omori, has made a surprising revelation.
In a recent conversation on the ‘Zero Conditions Podcast,’ he shared that he doesn’t possess a personal camera for shooting his videos.
He explained that his office is equipped with only a desktop computer, which he uses for video editing.
Esteemed for collaborating with top musicians and performers in the industry to bring their creative concepts to life, TG Omori recounted his journey into the realm of video production. He mentioned that he partners with production studios that provide the necessary filming tools, highlighting that he doesn’t own any video equipment himself.
The filmmaker also recounted how, during a time when his parents couldn’t afford to buy him a laptop, he made the decision to pursue acting. This choice allowed him to participate in sets without the financial burden of owning equipment. Originally intending to study film production in school, he found that acting became an alternative path that alleviated his financial constraints.
“I wanted to study film production, but they could not even afford to buy me a laptop, so I went for performing act because all you need is just to be present on stage. So it was in school that I discovered that there is a career called music video director, and you don’t even need to have anything, you can actually rent,” he added.
