[Music] Jemiriye – Saami Iye

US-based Nigerian singer Jemiriye just released a very timely song Saami Iye.

Saami Iye is a Yoruba word for “Make a mark of Safety“.

“The world is going through something which none of us has ever witnessed before with the Coronavirus pandemic.

I recorded the entire song without a microphone, no backup singers or acoustic room. I just knew I had to do it with or without all the Coronavirus limitations”.

“Baba Saami Iye si wa Lara o” simply means God should make a mark of Safety on our bodies.

The song features three languages, Yoruba, English and Swahili.

Saami Iye is available in all digital stores worldwide.
