When Bourdillon Turned Bank, It Should Be A Serious Issue
In the eve of Nigeria’s Presidential election last year, APC chieftain, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu‘s residence turned a temporary charity bank as two loads of Bullion Vans filled with money were spotted entering the compound.
Only God knows the amount each Bullion Vans were carrying but one thing is for sure, the money is actually meant to buy the conscience of some Nigerians gathered at his Bourdillion residence ahead of the election.
EFCC Pretended As If Everything Was Okay
In a country where there is Economic Finanacial Crimes Commission (EFCC), known for arresting and probing people suspected to have illegal funds, one would have thought after the Bullion Van video went viral, the commission would go after the ex-Lagos State governor without being told.
But NO!! The EFCC turned deaf and blind, they turned their back and pretended as if it’s normal for someone who is just an ex-governor with some couple of businesses to be using Bullion Vans to convey raw cash.
What if he becomes an ex-president, it will be 72 Bullion Vans (2 x 36 states).
If Saraki, Fayose Others Can Be Probed By EFCC – Why Is Tinubu Left Out?
Many a times, some well meaning Nigerians who felt the crookedness of EFCC‘s operations have put forward the above question to the commission.
In their very first attempt to answer the question of why the commission has not lifted a finger against Tinubu, the EFCC said, they can only make move to probe him if a petition is presented.
Here’s what EFCC Chairman, Magu was quoted to have said about this:-
It is not for us to listen to people on the radio and begin to act.
“Yes, we have intelligence but the surest way to get action is to go and write a petition and substantiate the contents of the petition and see whether I will not act,” Magu said
Now, We Have A Petition
God so good, right activist, Deji Adeyanju has filed a petition to the EFCC demanding that the commission investigate the appearance of money-filled Bullion Vans in the house a party leader an evening to last year’s presidential election.
However, some Nigerians have labelled the EFCC as being on the side of the ruling party in their operations and even with the petition as far as it is Tinubu, they won’t investigate shit but if they do, nothing substantial will come out of it.
The question we have for you all are
Do You Think EFCC Should Probe Tinubu About The Bullion Van Issue Now?
If EFCC Probes Tinubu Do You Think Anything Tangible Can Come Out Of The Investigation?
