The Federal Capital Territory Police Command, on Thursday, quizzed and detained embattled Senator Elisha Abbo who assaulted a nursing mother at an sex toy shop in Abuja.
The suspect, who went to the command in response to the police summons, was taken into custody.
The FCT Police Commissioner, Mr Bala Ciroma, said the Senator is being detained to enable detectives complete investigation on the alleged assault.
In a video released by Premium Times, on Monday, he was seen hitting a woman after she pleaded with him not to physically assault the shop owner whom he accused of insulting him.
