Nigerian born U.K. based Saxophonist Gabriel Taiwo Olaleye a.k.a Saxangel has gradually reinvented himself as a solely Afro-Jazz Saxophonist.
His new style, “Saxfrobeat” is a creative approach to world music which is the fusion of smooth jazz into Afrobeat.
The Saxophone has always been associated with Jazz but this invention is bridging the gap between Jazz lovers and Afrobeat, creating a unifying ground for all lovers of good music.
The music is a pleasant blend of traditional afro music from Africa and Jazz. The best remark I can give about this album is that it is slowly infectious—it is difficult to get tired of and one seems to return to it often.
