TikTok star Odesanmi Opeyemi, widely known as Oloba Salo, has been hospitalized after being shot by an unidentified gunman in Lekki, Lagos.
The content creator was reportedly shot in the leg late Thursday and immediately taken to the hospital for treatment.
It was also reported that his gold chain was stolen during the attack.
The incident occurred when Salo, known for his outspoken nature, was ambushed by unknown assailants while driving his white luxury car in Lekki, Lagos State.
An eyewitness, whose voice was heard in a leaked WhatsApp conversation, revealed that the assassins were seen riding a motorcycle when they shot the comedian before speeding away.
It was also mentioned that the gold chain was stolen by bystanders who had initially gathered around Salo, seemingly to assist him.
A video, captured by one of Salo’s friend, showed him in a hospital bed as doctors surrounded him, trying to save his life. His friend was seen running helter-skelter to make sure Salo get back on his feet hale and hearty.
Meanwhile, the PPRO, Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the incident and thanked the hospital for prompt treatment of the victim.
