Nigerian Afrobeats megastar Davido has sparked reactions online as he picked Odumodu Black over Asake as his Headies’ Next Rated Choice.
Odumodu Black, who went viral after his song ‘Declan Rice’ peaked number one on Apple Music few weeks back, received support from music star Davido as he told him on FaceTime that he’s winning the Next Rated award.
In a video going round on Twitter, Odumodu Black and Davido were on FaceTime, then Davido asssured him that he would emerge winner of the annual Next Rated award organized by the Headies.
‘You see that Next Rated, na you go collect am’,
Those were the words from Davido to Odumodu Black.
Meanwhile, most Nigerian social media users believe YBNL artist Asake is the most worthy candidate for the highly coveted award.
