Osun State Commissioner of Police, Wale Olokode on Monday paraded an upcoming hip hop artiste, Ayoola Olalekan, and ten 10 others for robbery, advanced free fraud, and possession of stolen properties.
In a viral video, Ayoola explained how he could use people’s bank details and SIM cards to swindle money from their bank accounts.
Among those paraded were Ayoola’s brother, Tunde Adeniyi, and 5 others for robbery, fraud, and conspiracy.
The State’s Commissioner of Police said, “the gang which includes Taye Fala, Azeez Dauda, Adewusi Sola, Abdullahi Adesokan, Moshood Yusuf forcefully entered a house in Ilesha garage area, Osogbo and went away with items worth over ₦3.6m.
“The gang also stole one yet-to-be registered Toyota Camry, 2007 model worth ₦2.8m. After the case was reported, operative from Police Response Unit (PRU) swung into action and arrested the suspects in Lagos, Ogun and Oyo States.”
The Commissioner of Police explained that the upcoming Artiste, Ayoola Olalekan who was also arrested said he only helps the gang to transfer funds from victim’s bank accounts.”
Ayoola said he dropped out of secondary school 2 in Oyo State, Nigeria and what he does for the gang is to steal from victims bank accounts.
Ayoola Olalekan included that Tunde Adeniyi who was also arrested is his younger brother and his apprentice.
