The year 2023 is fast approaching and of course, general elections will be held in Nigeria on 23 February 2023 to elect the President, Vice President, House of Representatives and Senate. The winners of the election will be inaugurated on 29 May 2023.

Who Is The Next President Of Nigeria?

Former president Goodluck Jonathan might be the next president of Nigeria cum 2023; this time, under the ruling political party APC. In other words, Jonathan will exit PDP soon.

It’d be very difficult to achieve 2023 presidency with the people’s democratic party (PDP) after over 15yrs in power yet nothing to show for it. Though this is politics, anything is possible and anything can happen.

The Northern political leaders might not be academically inclined, but very much intelligent, smart and calculative when it comes to politics.

The Plot Twist

As it stands, most Nigerians are fed up with Northern political leadership hence they might lose the 2023 presidential election if the dare field a Northerner.

Projecting/supporting Goodluck Jonathan for 2023 presidency, will result to them winning the election indirectly, and still be able to run the country as usual.

Throughout Jonathan’s tenure, he focused on the Northerners neglecting other regions including his own people. If he ran for presidency and eventually won the election, history will repeat itself again!

Femi Fani-Kayode a PDP member on Tuesday the 11 February 2021, held a meeting with Gov Yahaya Bello and the APC Interim National Chair, Gov Mala Buni, in Abuja.

Few hours later, the Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello on a video, said that the former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress

Though Fani-Kayode has not confirmed that he has joined the APC but admitted to meeting with Mr Bello and other APC leaders.

He said,

“Though we have had meetings across party lines and we are in a season of political consultation I have not left the PDP”.

But in the viral video, Bello confidently and authoritatively said the defection of FFK from PDP to APC, is one of his achievements as the head of the youth mobilisation committee for the party’s membership registration and revalidation.

He said,

“Our brother and friend, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has joined our party in good faith. He is joining our party to come and add his own positive energy and make contributions to ensuring that APC is a party to beat.

Remember, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode is a foundation member of the All Progressives Congress”.

The following day, FFK paid a visit to former president Goodluck Jonathan in his Abuja home last night. Now ask yourself why.

Lest we forget..Northerners are power mongers. If peradventure Jonathan becomes the president of this country once again, he can only serve a term. By 2027 he’d be disgraced, kicked out and power will return to the North again.
