After years of unparalleled hardwork and dedication towards humanity in his hometown community, Damian Ifeanyi Okoroafor popularly called Don Messi finally got the recognition befitting of a diligent son of the soil as he bags one of the highest Chieftaincy titles in Amuzi Autonomous Community of Imo State – Nkwa Chukwu kwere Amuzi Nke Izizi, which means “The Promise of God to the People of Amuzi Autonomous Community).
Conferred on him by the His Royal Highness – Eze Donatus Opara (Onugotu II of Amuzi Autonomous community), the epoch event held on December 29, 2020 was a special testament to the numerous community works that Chief Damian Ifeanyi Okoroafor has done including fixing of roads, setting up street lights across the community, offering scholarships to the less privileged, assisting widows in the community and many more.
In his words, HRH Eze Donatus Opara was full of praise for Damian Ifeanyi Okoroafor – the newest Chief in town as he talked glowingly about him, making it known he’s a great son of the community who always remembers his people.
In appreciation of the new status conferred on him, Chief Damian Ifeanyi Okoroafor thanked the King – HRH Eze Donatus Opara , Onugotu II of Amuzi Autonomous Community, for counting him worthy of the lofty position and promised to continue to do more for his people in alleviating poverty across the community.
