UK-based Nigerian artiste Sweetcorn has caused major chaos online following an interview with Rhythm FM’s Quincy Jonze.
Sweetcorn who recently his debut album “Ikenna” had many talking following his view on religion and its usefulness in today’s world. Sweetcorn wasted no time making sure to state categorically that he believes ”religion has outlived its time.’
The issue started after the singer who is in the country at the moment promoting his new album, was asked about the inspiration behind one of the songs on his album ‘What Is Nothing” which greatly dealt with the notion of “religion, God, humanity”.
Quincy started the interview asking Sweetcorn’s his thoughts on religion and what it means to him to which the “Secure the bag” crooner replied saying;
“It is a set of rules and doctrines carved out by man for other men telling them how to worship their God….religion is harmful and has outlived its purpose”
