Happy new months guys! From the stable of Naijaloaded, we bring to you the 10 best songs released in the first half of the year 2020.
Even as the coronavirus pandemic posed a low turnout of music from various artiste around the globe, our Nigerian superstars and budding artiste still see the need to quench the thirst of their fans with new music.
Through all songs released from the starting of this year (January) till the first half of the year (June) we made a quick run down to pick out the best 10.
I must say it wasn’t an easy task to do though, but we actually made it, and if our pick doesn’t align with yours, please bear with us and let us know which songs should have made the list through your comment.
So Let’s get down to the business;
1. Simi – Duduke
Obviously Simi’s Duduke is the biggest song so far this year, 2020.
It wasn’t any stressful brainstorming session before arriving at this song to be on our No.1 spot.
2. Olamide – Wonma!
YBNL boss, Olamide always come through for the street – With Wonma do! the street has one mega banger to vibe on this half-year.
Wonma! was off Olamide’s EP released earlier this year.
3. Adekunle Gold Ft. Kizz Daniel – Jore
It’s funny how almost forgot that this classic tune tagged “Jore” by AG Baby and Vado was released this year.
“Jore” was Adekunle Gold first release of the year and we all vibed to it before Corona decided to lock us all down.
4. Master KG Ft. Burna Boy & Nomcebo Zikode – Jerusalema (Remix)
This is an Instant hit!!! It became an anthem immediately it drops, with the Burna Boy infused Naija toppings.
Jerusalema original version has found its way into the Nigerian scene and the Burna Boy inclusion in the Remix makes it totally relatable.
5. Omah Lay – Bad Influence
I know many of you might still not know why this new act song “Bad Influence” made it up to this list – But its very much worth it.
Omah Lay‘s Bad Influence has this strong dominancy on the Digital stores, as it tops Apple and Audiomack chart for a very long period of time.
6. DJ Neptune Ft. Joeboy & Mr Eazi – Nobody
Worthy of mentioning on this list is the DJ Neptune’s classic release “Nobody” featuring Empawa Africa boss, Mr Eazi and his protege, Joeboy.
“Nobody” takes no long time in dominating chart on its arrival and becoming the anthem on everyone’s mouth. – Nobody is a certified banger
7. Mayorkun – Geng
Chilling with most high Geng!!! Mayorkun def score a hit with this freestyle inclined jam “Geng”
With the series of remix classified by geographical location; Naija Remix, UK Remix and Africa Remix – Geng became a certified anthem.
8. Ladipoe Ft. Simi – Know You
If a song is to be given an award of TikTok and Triller virality in Nigeria right now, then Ladipoe and Simi‘s “Know You” should sure top the class.
With the mass attention, the song gathers upon it release and for a months after, It became worthy of taking this spot on our list.
9. Rema – Beamer (Bad Boys)
With Rema‘s amazing run last year, 2019, every music lovers was on the wait on how the Bad Commando is going to kick start the new year, 2020.
Well, he did amazingly with Beamer (Bad Boys). The song was virtually on everybody’s lips and even my 3-year-old niece do sing it fluently.
10. Wande Coal – Again
Wande Coal’s “Again” is also another song that should sure find it’s way to this list.
The acceptability of this song gave the rhapsodic singer the needed platform to soar higher again in the industry.
Even its comparison with Fireboy’s album upon its release then met the red side of many music lovers, cause the tune was classic beyond comparison.
