Against the rumor of his rumored death, presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has declared that he is hale, healthy, and ready to serve Nigeria from day one.

The video comes amid concerns over his whereabouts, following his absence at the signing of the peace accord for the 2023 elections.

Tinubu made this known in a statement accompanying a video of his fitness posted via his verified Twitter page on Sunday.

Erling Haaland scored a hat-trick as Manchester City beats Man United 6-3 in the derby on Sunday.

Before Sunday’s Manchester derby everybody was asking whether Manchester United would be able to stop not just Manchester City, but more specifically Erling Haaland.

The answer turned out to be a resounding no. Haaland scored a hat-trick and set up two more goals as City romped to a 6-3 victory against their cross-city rivals.

The 22-year-old striker ended up sharing the match ball and the Player of the Match Award as local lad Phil Foden scored a brilliant hat-trick of his own.

The win emphatically underlined just how dangerous this City team is with a striker like Haaland leading the attack, and begs the question of whether anyone will be able to stop him.

The win and the bragging rights weren’t the only things City took from the game, with their center-forward bagging five new records.

1. Three consecutive hat-tricks

When Haaland swept home Sergio Gomez’s cross midway through the second half to put City 5-1 up, he became the first player in Premier League history to score hat-tricks in three consecutive home matches.

That’s a very impressive record.. It will take a while for another Player to ever break this.

2. Top scorer in Europe

His treble on Sunday took Haaland up to 14 goals in eight Premier League games, making him the highest scorer in Europe’s big five leagues by quite some margin.

Robert Lewandowski of Barcelona is his closest chaser with 9 goals, while Kylian Mbappe has 8 goals for Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1.

3. Direct goal involvements

With three goals and two assists, Haaland had a hand in 5 of City’s goals out of the total 6 goals they scored against Manchester United at today’s derby.

No player has ever made more goal involvements in a single Premier League Manchester derby.

4. 52 years in the making

Haaland became the first City player to score a hat-trick against United since 1970.

When Francis Lee hit three goals in a 4-1 win at Old Trafford. This is unimaginable.

5. Second youngest

Haaland‘s first-half header made him the second youngest City player to score in a Premier League Manchester derby.

The youngest remains Kelechi Iheanacho, who scored at Old Trafford in September 2016 aged 19 years and 243 days.

Obidients Defy Police Order As They Rally At Lekki

Supporters of the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi, today grounded traffic activities in Lekki, as they defied police orders and campaigned at Lekki toll-gate.

The ‘Obidients’ as they are popularly called, gathered on Saturday morning, October 1, at the toll-gate despite heavy police presence on the ground.

They were seen in mass number as they marched at the Lekki-Epe Expressway, chanting ‘Obi! Obidient!’

Sharing a video on Twitter, a tweep, @Nkemchor posted,

“The police presence at Lekki did not stop youths from gathering. Very proud of this generation. If Lekki is your route join them.

@eklepatience tweeted:

“All we want is a genuine leader that’s ready to serve Nigerians we’re not asking for too much nah just give us Peter Obi. Festac Lagos is Obidient.”

According to tweeps, who shared images, the rally also seemed to be holding in other parts of Lagos, like Festac town, Surulere and the National Stadium.

Another tweep, @BensonIbeabuchi, tweeted,

“Youths defy rainfall to come out in support of the Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi at Lekki, Lagos on October 1, 2022.”
Gridlocks have now been recorded around the Lekki area as the Obidients continued their rally.
On the Lekki-Epe Expressway, where traffic was nearly at a standstill, our correspondent observed private and commercial bus drivers seeking alternate routes.

We Want Nigeria To Rise Again, Says Kumuyi

The General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor Williams Kumuyi, has stated that it is the desire of Nigerians that the country rises again to take its position of leadership on the continent of Africa as the country celebrates its 62nd Independence anniversary.

According to a video on the Facebook page, Kumuyi stated this while addressing journalists after his arrival at the Ibadan Airport for the his programme, “Global Youth Convention, Impact scheduled to run from Friday to Monday.

The cleric also called on the youths to participate in politics and to vote for the candidates of their choice in the 2023 elections.

Kumuyi said:

“It is the right of every citizens as well as the responsibility of everyone to participate in politics. We desire a better country we want Nigeria to rise up again as the giant of Africa to take its rightful place.

“We expect our youths to want to see a Nigeria of thier own dream not by violence but by knowing their rights and responsibilities and to vote for the candidate of their choice, I will not dictate to anyone, they know the best, we all know what we are looking for and the Lord will guide them and make their votes count.”

He said the convention themed, “Transformed to lead” would be watched in over 150 nations, saying participants who are mainly youths would be taught by high-calibre resource persons.

He said further that “we are not here for entertainment, what we want to do is to really impact the lives of everyone that will come from Nigeria and the Diaspora. The youths are gathering together not only in Nigeria but beyond and we want to go through a series to encourage, to lead us, to impact, to inject the young people so that their lives would be transformed by the Lord and their own decisions too as we prepare the leaders of tomorrow for the future.

“We are believing that as the young people come, they come with their hearts and their minds and their vision and the desire to excel. We believe that great things are going to happen in their lives and we are not talking to them like we’ve come to preach to them or come like clergymen. We have come just like they are. We are still young at heart and we have quite a lot of things we want to infer to the younger generation before we hand over to them,” he added.

OMG!! 174 People Feared Dead During Panic In Football Stadium (READ DETAILS)

At least 174 people have died in a stampede at an Indonesian football match, in one of the world’s worst stadium disasters.

It happened after police tear-gassed supporters who invaded the pitch late on Saturday.

About 180 were hurt in the crush after local team Arema FC lost 2-3 to bitter rivals Persebaya Surabaya in East Java.

The country’s chief security minister said spectators exceeded the stadium’s 38,000 capacity by abound 4,000 people.

President Joko Widodo has ordered that all matches in Indonesia’s top league must be stopped until an investigation has been concluded.

Videos show fans running on to the pitch after the final whistle.

Police then fired tear gas, leading to a crowd stampede and cases of suffocation, said Nico Afinta, police chief in East Java.

“It had gotten anarchic. They started attacking officers, they damaged cars,” he said, adding that two police officers were among the dead.

“We would like to convey that… not all of them were anarchic. Only about 3,000 who entered the pitch,” he said.
