Naira Marley Is Bigger Than Olamide This Year – DO YOU AGREE?

A controversial 2019 has seen Naira Marley dominate the scene with three hits, but is he bigger than Baddo this year?

One thing we use to judge the bigger artiste between two artistes is based on Awards, streaming numbers, fanbase and lastly number of hits songs in the year of comparison.

The year 2019 has seen Naira Marley get enmeshed in EFCC controversies, getting out of prison and dropping hits songs back to back.

And if we look at it closely, Olamide has had a somewhat poor year, Baddo hasn’t had THAT HIT SONG so far this year.

Marlians can mention Soapy, Pxta and Mafo as their successes but from Olamide this year, we’ve had singles which somehow don’t last for long “Pawon” which went viral a couple of months ago when it was released has just a little over 2 million views on YouTube.

Oil and Gas faded after a few weeks of release and singles like Spirit and Woske didn’t do well either.

Olamide is no doubt an industry heavyweight who has been on the scene for long but so far this year, alongside Burna Boy, only Naira Marley can lay claim as to owning 2019

But Guys, on a very sincere note

Nigerian Rapper, Afeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley has taken to Instagram to make another solid but controversial statement about his song ‘soapy’.

The ‘Soapy’ crooner who recently attended an event, took to his Instagram page to share clips from the event which saw many of his fans singing along to his hit song ‘Soapy,’

While sharing the clip, Naira Marley wrote; ‘Soapy’s the new national pledge’.

It wouldn’t be wrong to say that Naira Marley’s ‘fraud case’ with the EFCC, directly or indirectly endeared many Nigerians to the rapper. Ever since the incident, his fan base has risen to a greater height and massive love from both celebrities and fans have also been showcased.

[Match Highlight] Atletico Madrid 0 – 1 Barcelona (Watch Here)

Lionel Messi scored a dramatic late winner as Barcelona beat Atletico Madrid 1-0 at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium to return to the summit of LaLiga on Sunday.

Real Madrid had temporarily claimed top spot on Saturday after a 2-1 win at Alaves but Barca’s victory put them ahead on goal difference.

Atletico had enjoyed the best of the chances in an engrossing contest but remain winless in 19 LaLiga games against the Catalans.

DHQ Speaks On Recruiting Ex-boko Haram Members Into Nigerian Army

The Defence Headquarters has reacted to reports making the rounds that repented Boko Haram fighters are being recruited into the Nigerian Army.

In a statement signed by the Acting Director, Defence Information, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu described the report as unfounded

DHQ explained that apart from de-radicalization, rehabilitation and reintegration of the ex-Boko Haram insurgents, there was no such plan of recruiting repentant Boko Haram fighters.

The Defence Headquarters also disclosed that it is only the 250 Boko Haram fighters who willingly surrendered to government troops that have been de-radicalized and reintegrated into the society “and are doing well in their respective communities.”

The statement read:-

“The Defence Headquarters has been notified of false information peddled in some online media, insinuating that deradicalized Boko Haram ex-fighters are being absorbed into the Nigerian military.

One of such insinuations is contained in a viral video footage published by Roots TV, where one Balhatu Musa Ezekiel claimed the Nigeria Army had recruited de-radicalized Boko Haram Ex-fighters into the Army and was, therefore, recycling insurgency.

“The Defence Headquarters wishes to unambiguously state that Balhatu’s claims are not only bereft of truth, but laced with mediocrity emanating from poorly researched and uninformed position.

“Contrary to his claims, no Boko Haram ex-fighter has been recruited into the Nigerian military and no such plan is in the offing.

“The de-radicalization, rehabilitation and reintegration program is a Federal Government program conducted under the auspices of Operation Safe Corridor as a non- kinetic operation.
